Stylesight Supports Parsons MFA Exhibition, The First Eighteen
Collaboration Inaugurates Relationship Between Industry Leaders

May 10, 2012 – New York, NY – Stylesight (http://www.stylesight.com), the industry-leading global content and technology solution for professionals in the style, fashion and design sectors, announces its support for Parsons The New School for Design and its inaugural MFA in Fashion Design and Society exhibition, The First Eighteen. The relationship begins a newfound partnership between one of the world’s finest design schools and the world’s top rated design website. Both institutions inspire creativity within the industry and continually seek to promote future design talent.

Just one of many exhibitions taking place during the Parsons Festival, The First Eighteen showcases work by the very first graduating students from the new MFA in Fashion Design and Society program, a highly selective curriculum for talented emerging designers, initiated through the support of Parsons alumna Donna Karan. Stylesight will sponsor a video installation digitally presenting the graduates’ work, as well as design, build and donate custom worktables to showcase the student’s projects. Members of Stylesight’s editorial team will conduct interviews with the graduates to be specially featured on Stylesight.com, promoting their final projects to Stylesight’s influential network of over 3,000 subscribing companies.

”We are excited to be partnering with Stylesight to extend the reach of our students’ work to a broader audience of top industry leaders,” said Simon Collins, Dean of the School of Fashion at Parsons. “Our MFA program features some of the most exciting work coming out of our Fashion School, and we are delighted to have Stylesight provide a platform to further this program.”

“When we discussed the MFA program with our friends at Parsons and they told us it was the first MFA graduating class, we jumped at the opportunity to support these wonderful students and the associated exhibition,” said Frank Bober, Founder and CEO of Stylesight. “Our mission is to inspire and enable creativity and nothing could exemplify that mission more than our partnership with Parsons of this first MFA graduating class. We truly love working with Parsons and look forward to many more joint initiatives. Good luck MFA class of 2012!”

The Exhibition: The First Eighteen, running daily from May 15th – 23rd, presents MFA Fashion Design and Society students’ personal vision with a focus on process and identity. This vision has culminated in a body of work including highly executed innovative clothing, film and other multimedia presentations.
